📝 Patch Notes

🔖 0.3.0

This update sets out to promote collaboration by providing players with a mechanism to exchange items.

📥 Drop items

  • Players can now drop their fish into the world by tapping on their fish from the inventory screen

📤 Pickup items

  • Players can now pickup dropped items from the world

🏆 Replace group win with individual winners

  • Only players who trade in all their fish receive a win
  • This could disincentivize collaboration, however it promotes players to want to work together to secure their own win

🔖 0.2.3

This patch specifically addresses fishing pole loss, as well as their duplication.

🫥 Fix data loss due to joining and older version of the game

  • Players would lose their fish and fishing poles when joining a version of the game that did not have fishing poles

👥 Fix fishing pole duplication

  • If a player turned in their fish to receive a fishing pole, and other players would leave at that time, they too would receive a fishing pole when rejoining a game of Platoland

🔖 0.2.0

Player feedback has been consistent around having a more purpose driven experience. This update leverages existing interactions to provide goals to the players; which now result in rewards within the game, and the app itself, i.e. wins.

🐠 Separate Fish into Dedicated Areas

  • Provides a subset of fish in identifiable locations
  • Make fishing more deliberate which will reduce frustration when attempting to catch all the "fish"
  • Provide purpose for exploring the island

🧍NPCs

  • An interaction point to provide goals, e.g. trade rewards for resources

🎣 Fishing Pole Upgrades

  • As a reward from the Fisherman player's will receive upgrades for their fishing poles
  • Upgraded fishing poles have new visuals, as well as reduce fishing time

🏆 Win Condition

  • If any player turns in their fish to the fisherman, all players in that session will receive a win!

Thank you for playing, and all your feedback!

🔖 0.1.0 - 0.1.8

A series of patches to address stability issues within the game, as well as some initial player feedback.

⏰ Add a game clock that ends a session after 45m

  • This is important for a variety of reasons; but the most pertinent to our players is that the games would often linger well past when the player was engaged, as well as players would hit a voice limit after an hour of gameplay.

🎣 Increase potential "fish" count from 99 to 124

  • Initially there was a "fish" count of 100, however players quickly discovered that the available fish were only 99 😅
  • While addressing this, we added some additional "fish" we had available.

🐛 Various fixes primarily around how the game interacts with our Voice services

  • Players should now have a more stable and consistent Voice experience

While that's it for now, please check back soon, as we're currently working on making some of the existing systems more engaging.

Thank you all for playing!
